Labs days are a big thing at Smashing Boxes. We look forward to them every week. It’s a chance for us to push the envelope without regard to business requirements and client tastes. It’s also an opportunity for us to experiment and learn new skills. When we got word that one of our former coworkers wanted to come back to SB after having a go in Silicon Valley, we decided this would be the perfect opportunity for a unique Labs project. So over the course of a Labs day or two (and a couple nights and weekends) we set up a website and built an app to celebrate Rob’s return and spread the good news
